Summary[]

Jessica accepts an offer to deliver the commencement ceremony at a university graduation. But upon arrival at the campus she finds herself investigating a murder that involves the chair of the college's English department.

Trivia[]

James Marshall (Student #3) was credited as Jim Greenblatt.

Victim: Nick Fulton

Killer: Dr. Alger Kenyon

Cause of death: Skull fracture after being hit with a candlestick.

Motive: Being in unrequited love with Jocelyn Laird, and, seeing Nick blackmail her when he found out that she was writing the books instead of Daphne, he killed him in a fit of anger.

Goofs[]

While Jessica hears Jocelyn's confession, a sketch of a ballerina on the wall who's hands are clasped together can be seen, but the arms are on backwards. It could be argued that the torso is also backwards.

When Jessica leaves the train station, she gets in Trish's car. Some lightning equipment is seen reflected in the car's windows.

With the prints smudged on the murder weapon, can they prove that Alger handled the weapon to kill, so with not being able to prove that, isn't it futile to play up that he had done it ?
