Noah is Miriam Harwood's husband. He's not a nice person, and doesn't seem to like Eve Simpson all that much as he tells Miriam that Eve is a waste of time and doesn't want her seeing Eve anymore. Miriam is secretly having an affair with the butcher Tim Mulligan, but after reading Sybil Reed's debut novel, The Sins of Castle Cove, Miriam recognizes herself as the character of the unfaithful wife, and fears Noah will find out about the affair, which he inevitably does, causing him to get drunk and confront Tim Mulligan, a confrontation that almost turned physical but was broken up thanks to Jessica Fletcher. Shortly afterwards, Miriam is found murdered, and Noah is later arrested by Sheriff Metzger based on the fact Miriam's death also happened in Sybil Reed's book and it was the husband who killed her. Noah is not seen again after his arrest, but Miriam's killer is eventually revealed to be bookstore owner Ellis Holgate, who was secretly in love with Miriam, and was devastated to discover she couldn't stand him.
