Someone is found dead after the engagement party for the offspring of two estranged comedians.

Murray & Mack are likely inspired by the famous comedy team of Jerry Lewis & Dean Martin with Murray the goofy Lewis-like one and Mack the smooth, straight-man singer, ala Martin. Martin & Lewis also had a very acrimonious split, although they later reconciled on an episode of Martin's variety show thanks to Frank Sinatra.

Victim: Phil Rinker

Killer: Farley Pressman

Cause of death: Strangulation, disguised as hanging.

Motive: Phil had learned Farley was cheating Mack Howard & Murray Gruen out of money from videotape sales
