SummaryEdit

Jessica's niece is terrorized with reminders of her dead husband on a cruise intended to take her mind off her husband's recent suicide.

TriviaEdit

Jessica's niece is being "gaslighted" which is a term derived from the film Gaslight (1944), Angela Lansbury's first film.

The title refers to the traditional Scottish ballad, "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean".

The first and only appearance of Jessica's brother, Dr. Marshall McGill.

The casting director must have been watching The Poseidon Adventure (1972) because like that film both Leslie Nielsen and Byron Webster play high ranking cruise ship crew.

Lawrence Pressman and Belinda Montgomery would later go on to co-star together in Doogie Howser, M.D. (1989).
