Jill Goddard is the spiritualist wife of Del Goddard, the son of Jessica Fletcher's friend, Lee Goddard. Jill appeared in season five's eighth episode, "Prediction: Murder". In reality, Jill married Del only for his money. She conspired with phoney psychic and lover Franchesco to steal money from Del and then fake her death. Through a series of events that made it seem like Jill was to die soon, Jill eventually went on in her plan to fake her death, by killing the Swedish maid Greta Olsen and frame her as her murderer while Jill took her identity.
