Summary[]

- The title is based on the 1940 novel For Whom the Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway which focuses on a group of anti-fascist guerrillas during the Spanish Civil War.
- Prior to this episode, Jeff Conaway appeared twice as Jessica's nephew-in-law in 1984 and 1986. He appeared again in 1994 as an entirely different character.
- This is the second appearance of Lela Ivey. Her first appearance is "How to Make a Killing Without Really Trying".
