"Death Stalks the Big Top: Part 1" is the first episode of the third season of Murder, She Wrote and its 45th episode overall. It aired on September 28, 1986.

Summary[]

Jessica's niece, Carol Bannister, gets a wedding gift from her grandfather who is believed to be dead, Jessica tracks down her brother in law to a circus where she gets involved in a series of accidents that lead to murder.

When Carl is putting on his clown makeup, a close-up shows most of his right cheek covered in clown white. In the next shot, his cheek is clean and he starts applying makeup to it again.
