Character History[]

Charles Strickland was a professor of history who helped his mentor restore an abandoned Western town to its full glory for tourists. He was also deeply in debt to the mob and so decided to locate a lost teasure that a stagecoach robber years ago had stolen. He used a sextant to trace the loot to a nearby Indian dwelling in the hills nnear the town, which he murdered his mentor, Mr. Kelley, to get. It was only when he finally located the missing strongbox and opened it that he discovered that the payroll consisted of company bonds, which were now worthless because the mining company had gone defunct years earlier. He was exposed by Jessica Fletcher and was then apprehended by the Sheriff.
