Trivia[]

Final film and TV credits for Sheb Wooley and Jimmy Dean.

The late Jimmy Dean, who co-starred in this episode, is best known as the star of the Jimmy Dean Show, which introduced the Muppet character Rowlf, and as the creator of a line of breakfast meats, which is still in business today.

In keeping with the country music theme of the episode, famed country music stars Blake Gibbons, Mickey Gilley & Sheb Wooley all guest starred.

Victim: Bobby Diamond

Killer: Patti Sue Diamond

Cause of death: Poisoned via strychnine laced bourbon.

Motive: Was going to dump her for a younger woman.

When Alice came to the cabin to find her father dead, she saw the note & the vial. I can see that the bottle was already doctored by Patty Sue, in the flashback, we saw Alice pouring the vial in to the bottle, then she put her father's prints on the vial, to give the illusion of suicide. The question that I have is why lace her step-mother's coffee with it, when the bottle that was found at the scene, the prints on it would implicate Patty Sue, now wouldn't it , so why give the illusion of suicide, why not allow Patty Sue to go down, given that her prints on it would implicate her ?
